It is important that you review the site admission regulations to ensure that your entry into the Air Races is as expeditious as possible. Failure to comply with these regulations may result in your admission to the event being delayed, refused, or revoked.
Ticket sales are expected to begin on 01 May 2010. After ticket sales begin, you will be able to make advance purchases for most classes of tickets for the 2010 National Championship Air Races and Air Show by using your Mastercard or Visa.
"will call"
If you place your ticket order after the mailing cut-off date [31 August 2010 for US and Canada and 15 August 2010 for all other orders] but prior to the closing date for orders from the Reno Air Racing Association office [30 July 2010], your tickets will be held at the "WILL CALL" window, at the location labeled "T3" on the site map].
If your tickets are being held at "WILL CALL", to retrieve them you must have a photo ID [such as a drivers license or passport] matching the name on the ticket order, or the same credit card used to pay for the tickets.
when are tickets mailed?
Tickets are mailed beginning in mid-summer, and all tickets ordered in advance are mailed by the end of the first week in September. Even if you purchase your tickets directly from the Reno Air Racing Association early in the year, you will not receive your tickets until sometime between June and September.
pit passes
Daily pit passes may be purchased near the Pit Gate located adjacent to the west end of the Reserved Seat Grandstand.
on-site ticket sales at Reno Stead Field
Tickets will go on sale at Reno Stead Field on Monday 13 Sep 2010 at 8:00 AM. General Admission tickets and pit passes will not sell out - they will be on-sale at Reno Stead Field throughout Race Week, Monday 13 Sep - Sunday 19 Sep 2010.
You can also purchase season reserved auto parking passes at the "WILL CALL" booth.
Children aged 7 years and younger receive free General Admission every day when accompanied by an adult. Children 8 to 15 years of age qualify for "Junior" pricing, and receive free General Admission Wednesday through Friday when accompanied by an adult. Adults aged 55 years and older qualify for "Senior" pricing. There are discounted General Admission prices for Seniors and Military personnel all week long and for and Military personnel Wednesday through Friday.
To qualify for Senior discounts, please be prepared to show drivers license or other proof of age. To qualify for Military discounts, please be prepared to show a current military ID.
TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-EXCHANGEABLE. ALL TICKET PURCHASES ARE FINAL. TICKETS MAY NOT BE RETURNED FOR A REFUND OR FOR CREDIT.

General Admission includes first come-first served seating in the General Admission grandstands, access to the static aircraft displays, and the mainway vendor areas. Access to the pit area requires a pit pass which must be purchased separately. If you qualify for a Senior or Military ticket, please be prepared to show proof of age or your current military ID at the gate when you enter.

NOTE: Reserved grandstand tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. You may not specify a particular seating location. Pricing for reserved grandstand seating is the same for Juniors, Adults, Military, and Seniors.

reserved automobile and recreational vehicle parking passes
The reserved automobile parking area, located within the main gate [labeled L5 on the site map], is within easy walking distance of the grandstands, box seating, and pit entrance. Season parking reservations may be purchased in advance. Partial week or pro-rated payments are not accepted for pre-purchased reservations; however, you may purchase non-reserved auto parking on site for $10/day [vehicles may not remain in any automobile parking lot overnight]. Refer to the recreational vehicles page for the locations of parking lots for recreational vehicles.
Handicap parking is available for vehicles displaying official handicap plates or placards. Shuttle service is provided from the handicap parking lot to the main gate.
There are two reserved parking areas for recreational vehicles. The Optimist Lot is located North of Echo Avenue, East of Mt. Vida St., across from Gate 2. The West Lot is located at the far west end of the field, west of the RARA hangar. RV permits are for the entire event, no daily permits are available.
NOTE: all recreational vehicle permits must be purchased through the Reno Air Racing Association office by calling 775-972-6663. If you wish to reserve a space in the West lot, you must at the same time purchase either a Season General Admission ticket plus a Season Pit Pass, or a Season Reserved Seat ticket plus a Season Pit Pass.

You may purchase a pass for the shuttle that operates daily from Thu 16 Sep through Sun 19 Sep in both directions between locations in downtown Reno and Sparks and Reno Stead Field. A pass is required for each person over 5 years of age to ride the shuttle [children under 5 ride free]. Single-trip shuttle tickets and three-day [Thur/Fri/Sat or Fri/Sat/Sun] passes will also be available at each shuttle pick-up location [see the shuttle service page for details].

A pit pass gives you unparalleled access to get close to the aircraft and observe the race teams in the pits, which occupy the western half of the event site [labeled A4 on the site map].
NOTE: Pit Passes can be ordered by mail, and you will receive vouchers that must be exchanged for Pit Pass wrist bands near the entrance to the Pit Area after you are admitted to the Race Site with your General Admission or Reserved Section ticket.
A General Admission or Reserved Grandstand ticket is required in order to get access to the Pit area with your Pit Pass.
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times in the Pit area.

Enjoy the races from your private box on the flight line [labeled H3 on the site map]. Your Box Seat package includes Pit Passes and VIP parking good for all five days. You can add seats to your box up to a maximum of 15 seats per box. Four daily parking passes are included with the purchase of 10 - 12 seats; five passes are included with the purchase of 13 - 15 seats.

Box seat purchasers may bring their own coolers which will be delivered to their boxes. Each box purchase includes two free cooler permits. The first additional cooler permit is $100 per box, and $50 per box for each subsequent cooler for the entire event. For example, if you wish to have three coolers in your box each day, you would require three permits totaling $100 [the first two cooler permits are free, plus $100 for the third cooler]. For four coolers permits, your total cost would be $150. Maximum cooler capacity is 72 quarts [about 20" x 30" x 16"]. Coolers must be dropped off at the designated "Cooler Drop-off Area" at the box seat holder parking lot.

The Chairman's Hospitality Tent, centrally located between the East Pit Gate and the Reserved Seat Grandstands [labeled H2 on the site map], is open from 10 AM each day Wednesday through Sunday. A buffet lunch is served each day, and you can stop by any time to enjoy a cold drink and a snack, all within view of the races and air show.
Note: Admission to the Air Races is not included in your Chairman's Hospitality Tent price, and must be purchased separately.
