Bob BonhamBob Bonham

Bob has been associated with the Air Races in varying degrees and areas since their beginning in 1964, and has served on the Board of Directors for three years. After a 35 year career with the Nevada Air National Guard, he retired as Deputy Commander for Maintenance. He currently chairs the Non-Racing Aircraft Committee.

Ron BathRon Bath

Major General Ronald J. Bath U.S. Air Force (ret.), has extensive experience in the U.S. Air Force and Nevada Air National Guard. General Bath is a command pilot with more than 3,400 flying hours in a variety of aircraft. He is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm with 31 combat missions.

Mike BowmanMike Bowman

Mike Bowman is Executive Vice President, Washington Operations for DRS Technologies. In his "prior life" he served 35 years with the U.S. Navy as a naval aviator flying a variety of aircraft. He has been an avid racing fan since representing the Navy at the races eight years ago. He serves on the board of several defense companies and is the President of the Tailhook Education Foundation. Mike has been a director for the RARA board for the last four years.

Jennifer CroweJennifer Crowe

Sparks resident Jennifer Crowe, is an UNR graduate and currently on the faculty at the Reynold’s School of Journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno. Jennifer also works with non-profits and small businesses to increase their public, political and media awareness.

T. J. DayT. J. Day

T. J. Day, Senior Partner in both the Hale Day Gallagher and Dacole Companies, has been on the Board for 16 years and is a member of the Executive Committee. He currently sits on the Boards of Sierra Pacific Resources, Boy Scouts of America, the Nevada Taxpayers Association, and the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum.

Bruce DewingBruce Dewing

Bruce Dewing is the President of AWI Gaming, a subsidiary of American Wagering, a NASDAQ-listed company based in Las Vegas, and is also on the Board of Directors of American Wagering. AWI owns and operates Leroy's Sport Books and several hotel/casinos throughout the State of Nevada. Bruce also serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board for the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association. A resident of Reno since 1969, Bruce serves on the RARA Executive Committee, Sponsorship, Marketing, and VIP Committees.

Tom DunlapTom Dunlap

Truckee resident Tom Dunlap spent more than fifteen years with the Disney Corporation serving as the Senior Vice President and General Manager for Walt Disney Imagineering in Orlando, Florida. He currently is the Vice President of East West Partners, responsible for developing The Highlands, a new five-star resort at Northstar Ski Resort.

Bill EckBill Eck

Bill Eck, owner of HeavyLift International, has been a Board Member since 1985 and has served as Operations Chairman. Bill chairs the Operations Committee and was named RARA's "Man of the Year" for 2002.

Charles FilippiniDr. Charlie Filippini, M.D.

Dr. Filippini, the Physician of Record for the Air Races, is a Flight Surgeon with the Nevada Air Guard as well as a physician in private practice in Reno. He has been a member of the Board since 1985.

Susan FisherSusan Fisher

Susan Fisher is President and owner of Fisher Consulting, a political advocacy firm based in Reno, Nevada. A graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, she serves on the UNR Legislative Advisory Board and is on the board of directors of the Reno Downtown Improvement Association. Susan is an active supporter of the Battle Born Derby Demons, Northern Nevada's premier flat-track womens roller derby league, and is a crew member for Lessman Speed Racing, a Bonneville streamliner.

Ron FogelmanRon Fogelman

General Ron Fogleman retired from the USAF on 1 September 1997 after thirty-four years of active commissioned service. On his final tour of duty General Fogleman served as the 15th Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. General Fogleman is currently Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Durango Aerospace Incorporated, an international aviation consulting firm. He is an active pilot with over 7000 total hours in fighters, mobility aircraft, and general aviation. He lectures on leadership, international affairs and military issues and has published numerous articles on air and space operations.

Tom GaddTom Gadd

Tom Gadd is Washoe County Public Works Director. Tom is a retired Air Force Brigadier General and Command Pilot. He is a member of the Executive Committee.

Tom GribbinTom Gribbin

Tom Gribbin, Chairman of the Board, member of the Executive Committee, Board member since 1991, is also the Vice Chairman of the National Aeronautics Association Contest and Records Board. Tom is the founder of Pyramid Engineering Company.

Frank KinnellFrank Kinnell

Frank Kinnell, a fourth generation Nevadan, has been involved with the Air Races since the 1960's, and has been a Board member since 1984. Frank served as the Executive Director of the Association from 1996 to 1998, and currently sits on the Executive Committee.

Bill LeonesioBill Leonesio

Bill Leonesio, a Reno native, was a Regional Manager and Vice President with First Interstate Bank of Nevada, retiring in 1994 after a 33 year career. Bill has been involved with the Air Races for the past 26 years both as a volunteer and a Board Member.

Charles LowdenChuc Lowden

Chuc Lowden, an Army Air Traffic Controller during the Vietnam War, is currently the Fire Chief for the City of Reno, having been in professional fire service since 1966. Chuc has been a member of the Board since 1998.

Gary MacDonaldGary MacDonald

Gary MacDonald, a longtime Reno resident, is the Commercial Marketing Representative for First American Title. Gary has always been very active in the community serving on several different boards including Rotary, Western Industrial Nevada, EDAWN an NAIOP.

Mike MajorMike Major

Mike Major retired to the Reno area in 2001 after more than 38 years of defense and aerospace operations, aviation and aviation-related activities. He flew high performance aircraft for the US Air Force for 23+ years, retiring as a Colonel with a Command Pilot rating. After the Air Force, Mike joined a major Aerospace Defense firm where he performed various executive management functions focused on improving the pilot-vehicle interface and enhancing safety for fighter/trainer programs. Since his relocation to Reno, he has been involved in the Air Races as a pylon judge and in timing.

Terry MatterTerry Matter

Terry Matter retired from the Northrop Grumman Corporation in 1998, after a 30-year career managing worldwide military services in support of Grumman's aircraft products. He began attending the Reno Air Races in 1969 and was a pylon judge for 4 years. A licensed commercial pilot with flight instructor ratings and 40 years of flying experience, Terry owns a vintage Cessna 182 aircraft based at the Reno Stead Airport. His Reno business, TKM Consulting Services, provides managerial, marketing and product support assistance for aerospace clients.

Geno MenchettiGeno Menchetti

Geno Menchetti, prominent lawyer in Incline Village, has served on numerous Boards, and was Chairman and a member of the Board of Trustees for the Airport Authority of Washoe County for six years. Geno, now Chairman Emeritus, also founded the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival and has been a member of the Air Race Board since 1997.

Frank MonroeFrank Monroe

Frank Monroe, owner of the Seasons Inn and several other properties, has been a member of the Board for 37 years. A licensed commercial pilot with a multi-engine and instrument rating with over 3,000 flying hours, he flies a Cessna 180. Frank is active in the Reno Host Lions Club.

Dave PursellDave Pursell

Dave Pursell, a Nevada native from Ely, served in the Nevada Air National Guard from 1972-1978, and subsequently was Executive Director with the Nevada Department of Taxation, retiring in 2002. Dave has been a volunteer in the Checkered Flag Club for several years, and is currently Secretary/Treasurer of the Reno Air Racing Association.

Tom RobinsonTom Robinson

Tom Robinson has been a member of the Board since 1987, has served on the Executive Committee since 1994, and was Chairman in 2004-2005. A 28 year veteran of the Reno Police Department, he holds the rank of Deputy Chief of Police. He is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the Nevada Air National Guard.

John Sande IIIJohn P. Sande III

Mr. Sande is a Trustee of the William F. Harrah Trusts, Chairman of the Board of Directors of First Independent Bank of Nevada, and is a Director of Employers Insurance Company of Nevada. He served as Capital Campaign Chairman from 1990-1995 and is presently a Co-Chair of the Campaign for Digital Television for KPNB (Reno Channel 5). He is a Trustee of the Northern Nevada Youth Golf Foundation.

Joey ScolariJoey Scolari

Joey Scolari, is CEO of Scolari's Food and Drug company, headquartered in Reno. Joey is a private pilot with a multi-engine/IFR rating, and flys a Cessna 210, although he is also type-rated for the Company's Citation II. He has been a Board member since 1993, is a member of the Executive Committee. He served as Chairman of the Board in 2002 and 2003.

Steve SilvaSteve Silva

Carson City resident Steve Silva has been with the Nevada State Parks for the last 27 years. Steve is the Senior Law Enforcement Specialist and is an instructor at the Nevada Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training academy in Carson City.
